Held by God
Scripture repeatedly gives us pictures of God’s tender care.
He gathers.
Carries.
Comforts.
Protects.
Draws near.
These images remind us that God is not distant from the people He loves.
His presence is not cold or impersonal.
It is relational.
When You Feel Unseen
Painful experiences can create beliefs such as:
I am forgotten.
I am unwanted.
I am alone.
But Scripture tells us something stronger.
God sees.
God knows.
God remains near.
Feeling unseen does not mean you are unseen.
Feeling abandoned does not mean God has abandoned you.
The Father Who Welcomes
One of Scripture’s most powerful pictures of God’s heart appears in the story of the prodigal son.
The son returns expecting rejection or reduced status.
Instead, the father runs toward him.
Embraces him.
Restores him.
Celebrates his return.
That image gives us a glimpse of grace.
God does not merely tolerate those who return to Him.
He welcomes.
Love Without Striving
Many people quietly live as though God’s love must constantly be earned.
Pray enough.
Serve enough.
Perform well enough.
Make fewer mistakes.
But grace teaches something different.
We obey because we are loved.
We do not obey in order to convince God to love us.
The Divine Embrace invites us to rest in what Christ has already made possible.
Near to the Brokenhearted
Psalm 34:18 says:
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted.”
Brokenness does not repel God.
He draws near.
There are moments when His presence may not remove the pain immediately.
But His nearness reminds us that we do not carry it alone.
Nothing Can Separate You
Romans 8 asks:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”
Then Paul names trouble, hardship, persecution, danger, death, life, and every power imaginable.
His conclusion is clear:
Nothing.
Your circumstances cannot erase God’s love.
Your past cannot outrun it.
Your failure cannot surprise it.
Your fear cannot cancel it.
The Embrace of Belonging
God’s love does more than comfort.
It gives identity.
You are not simply accepted from a distance.
You belong.
In Christ, believers are described as children of God.
Chosen.
Adopted.
Redeemed.
Known.
Loved.
Belonging changes how we live.
We stop trying to prove our worth to everyone around us.
We begin living from the security of already being loved.
Let Yourself Be Held
Sometimes the hardest part is not believing that God loves people.
It is believing He loves you.
The Divine Embrace invites you to stop running from the truth He has already spoken.
You are seen.
You are known.
You are loved.
You are not alone.
And in every season, the arms of God are still wide enough to hold you.
