Jesus Is the Way

 

Jesus said:

 

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6

 

Christianity is not simply about finding a better path.

 

It is about following a Person.

 

Jesus does not merely point toward the road.

 

He is the Way.

 

That means our direction is determined by Him.

 

The Narrow Road

 

In Matthew 7, Jesus describes two roads.

 

One is wide.

 

Easy to enter.

 

Crowded.

 

The other is narrow.

 

The narrow road is not always the popular road.

 

Following Jesus may require choices that look different from the culture around us.

 

Faithfulness can cost comfort.

 

But the narrow way leads to life.

 

Watch for Detours

 

Not every road that looks easier is better.

 

Sometimes detours come through:

 

Distraction.

 

Compromise.

 

Fear.

 

Approval-seeking.

 

Bitterness.

 

Pride.

 

Comfort.

 

The desire to avoid difficulty.

 

A detour may look harmless at first.

 

Over time, it can pull us far from where we intended to go.

 

Spiritual maturity includes noticing when we are drifting.

 

God’s Word Gives Direction

 

Psalm 119:105 says:

 

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

 

A lamp does not always show the entire road.

 

It gives enough light for the next step.

 

Sometimes God does not give us the whole map.

 

He gives us truth for today.

 

Obedience for today.

 

Grace for today.

 

Then He asks us to keep walking.

 

Wrong Turns Are Not the End

 

Every believer has moments of failure.

 

Peter failed.

 

David failed.

 

Jonah ran.

 

The disciples misunderstood.

 

A wrong turn does not have to become the end of the journey.

 

Repentance allows us to turn back toward God.

 

Grace does not erase the need for correction.

 

It makes restoration possible.

 

Don’t Travel Alone

 

The Christian journey was never meant to be walked in isolation.

 

We need:

 

Encouragement.

 

Accountability.

 

Prayer.

 

Wise counsel.

 

People who remind us where we are going when we become tired.

 

Sometimes someone else helps us see that we are drifting before we recognize it ourselves.

 

When the Road Gets Hard

 

A difficult road does not necessarily mean you are on the wrong one.

 

Sometimes obedience leads through challenging places.

 

Jesus told His disciples they would face trouble.

 

The goal is not a road without hardship.

 

The goal is remaining faithful on the road Christ has called us to walk.

 

Keep Moving Forward

 

There may be stretches where progress feels slow.

 

You may feel tired.

 

You may wonder how far you still have to go.

 

But faithfulness is often built through the simple decision to keep walking.

 

One prayer.

 

One act of obedience.

 

One step.

 

One day at a time.

 

Stay on the Highway

 

The Christian highway is not about speed.

 

It is about direction.

 

You do not have to move faster than everyone else.

 

You do not have to know every turn ahead.

 

You do not have to understand the whole journey.

 

You simply need to keep following Jesus.

 

When the road is clear:

 

Follow Him.

 

When the road is hard:

 

Follow Him.

 

When you are unsure:

 

Follow Him.

 

When you have to turn back from a detour:

 

Follow Him.

 

The destination matters.

 

But so does the One walking with you along the way.
