Faith Does Not Require Pretending

Sometimes the deepest act of faith is remaining in relationship with God when answers do not come.

Job teaches us to wrestle honestly while refusing to completely let go.

David: Pouring Out the Heart

David’s Psalms give language to sorrow, fear, anger, loneliness, and hope.

Mary fell at Jesus’ feet after Lazarus died.

She brought Him sorrow.

Jesus did not shame her tears.

He wept too.

The God we trust in grief is not distant from human suffering.

Jesus knows what it means to mourn.

When the Ashes Are Still Warm

Sometimes we want God to hurry us into the rebuilding stage.

But ashes deserve acknowledgment.

Something burned.

Something was lost.

Something changed.

Healing does not require pretending otherwise.

Faith in the ashes means allowing God to meet us before everything has been restored.

God Is Still Present Here

You may not be standing in the chapter you wanted.

You may still be grieving.

Still rebuilding.

Still tired.

Still asking questions.

But the presence of pain does not mean the absence of God.

He met Job.

He heard David.

He restored Naomi.

He cared for Elijah.

He wept with Mary.

And He still meets His people in difficult places.

The Ashes Are Not the End

Ashes tell us something has been lost.

But Scripture repeatedly shows God bringing new life into places that appeared finished.

That does not mean every loss is replaced in the same way.

It means grief does not get the final word.

God is still faithful.

Still present.

Still able to restore hope.

Still able to write beyond the chapter that broke your heart.

Faith in the ashes does not mean you never grieve.

It means even here, you are still learning to trust the God who remains.
