For I am with you.”\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNotice the balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGod promises His presence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe people still have work to do.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFaith does not mean waiting passively for God to accomplish what He has already instructed us to begin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes faith looks like picking up the tools and rebuilding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eGreater Glory\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGod promises:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house.”\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe people were judging the future by what they could presently see.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGod saw more.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTheir unfinished work was part of a much larger story.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHaggai reminds us not to underestimate what God can do with faithful obedience.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eGod Is Still Working in the Rebuilding\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHaggai speaks especially powerfully to anyone beginning again.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe something stopped.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe discouragement took over.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe opposition made you quit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe other priorities slowly crowded out what God had asked you to do.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHaggai's message is not simply:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYou should have done better.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eConsider your ways. Return to what matters.
