character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrayer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWisdom.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eService.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIntegrity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eConsistency.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd obedience to Christ.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHonor Your Wife\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFirst Peter 3:7 instructs husbands to dwell with their wives according to knowledge and to give them honor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat requires knowing her.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eListening.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePaying attention.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnderstanding her concerns.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eValuing her perspective.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSpeaking respectfully.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd refusing to treat her as though her voice does not matter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA wife is not a lesser member of the marriage covenant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe is a fellow heir of the grace of life.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eProtect What God Has Entrusted to You\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtection is more than physical defense.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA husband should also protect the health of the marriage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtect trust.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtect faithfulness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtect intimacy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtect his wife's dignity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProtect the home from patterns that slowly destroy connection.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat requires boundaries, wisdom, honesty, and spiritual vigilance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eServant Leadership\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJesus demonstrated leadership by serving.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe washed His disciples' feet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBiblical leadership does not place a husband above serving his family.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt calls him deeper into service.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes leadership looks like making a difficult decision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes it looks like admitting:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“I was wrong.”\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes it means listening instead of fixing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes it means taking responsibility instead of assigning blame.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSometimes it means praying when no one else sees.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCommunication Matters\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA husband's words can strengthen his marriage or slowly wound it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBiblical communication requires truth spoken with love.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThat means learning to listen without immediately becoming defensive.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAddress problems without attacking character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRefuse contempt.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eControl anger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAsk forgiveness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd pursue reconciliation rather than simply winning an argument.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWinning the argument while damaging the relationship is not victory.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eLove Is More Than Emotion\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBiblical love is active.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFirst Corinthians 13 describes love as patient, kind, truthful, enduring, and not self-seeking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA husband will not always feel romantic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMarriage will move through difficult seasons.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChristlike love remains committed to faithful action even when emotions fluctuate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat About Submission?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEphesians 5 addresses both husband and wife, but the husband's command is not:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“Make your wife submit.”\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis command is:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLove her.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis responsibility is obedience to what God has commanded \u003cstrong\u003ehim\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHer responsibility before God does not excuse his failure to love sacrificially.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMarriage is healthiest when both husband and wife concentrate first on faithfully fulfilling their own biblical responsibilities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhen Leadership Becomes
